This page provides practical information about shared building resources and services available on-site.
Lost and Found
Lost and found items can be turned into or picked up in Room 100.
If you lost an item and would like to report it, please fill out the Bascom Hall Lost and Found Google Form.
Items not picked up after six months will be discarded.
Recycling
There are recycling bins located in several areas throughout the building.
Ground Floor
- Next to Elevator #2 (main elevator) across from Room 52
- At west entrance in the lobby area
- By vending machines
First Floor
- Next to Elevator #1 (small elevator)
- Next to south entrance near Room 161
- In the rotunda. This area includes drop off for:
- Batteries
- Cell phones
- Eye glasses
- Media
- Printer catridges
Second Floor
- Near the staircase across from Room 254
Third Floor
- Near the stairwell across from Room 302
If you have large amounts of recycling, please contact FP&M to make arrangements for pickup and disposal.

Surplus With A Purpose (SWAP)
SWAP collects reusable, repairable items that are no longer needed by the university. Examples include office furniture and leftover paint.
To put in a request with SWAP to pick up items, fill out the Surplus Request Form on their website.
Vending Machines/Water Fountains
Vending machines are located on the ground floor level near the west side of the building, next to the lobby facing towards Ingraham Hall.
Water fountains are located throughout the building as follows:
- Ground Level: By Room 70 (Office of Student Assistance and Support)
- First Floor: Near Room 132
- Second Floor: Near Room 250
- Third Floor: Near Room 350
