Parking Guidelines for Staff
Applying for parking on campus can be challenging. Please share these best practices with your staff and new hires. Any questions can be directed to your Unit Transportation Coordinator (UTC). To find your UTC, you can check the Transportation Services listings.
Lot Choices
You are allowed 4 lot choices when you apply for parking. It is strongly recommended to select all 4 choices to give yourself the greatest chance at receiving an offer. Remember – you are applying alongside the rest of campus, not just Bascom employees.
Lot 11 is reserved for a select group of people. Do not apply for Lot 11.

Accepting an Offer
Transportation Services will send an email to you if/when you receive an offer for parking. Follow the instructions to accept. As parking is highly competitive, best practice would be to accept your offer even if it is not your ideal lot.
Please accept your offer as soon as possible so that Transportation Services can accurately calculate space available. If you do not accept your offer by the deadline, that offer will expire and you will no longer be on the list for that lot.
Wait List Status
If you did not receive an offer, you likely are on a waitlist for all of your choices. If you accepted a lower choice lot offer, you will remain on the waitlist for your higher level choices. You do not need to reapply.
Your UTC should be able to provide you with your waitlist position, while Transportation Services can give you more information on how fast lots are moving as well as which ones have space available.
